# What are the best Runway alternatives?

It depends on what you use Runway for. For a node canvas with more labs plus 3D and Gaussian splats, use OTOY Studio. For the cheapest Kling, go to Kling directly. Adobe Firefly suits teams that live in Creative Cloud, and it also licenses Runway's own models. Higgsfield is quicker for social and ad video. ComfyUI runs open models on your own GPU.

## Choose by what you need

- **A node workflow with more than video:** [OTOY Studio](https://otoy.studio). Runway's Workflows are node-based too, but they have no 3D or splat models. In OTOY Studio you can make a splat or a mesh, render a camera move from it, and give that render to a video model. See [OTOY Studio vs Runway](https://otoy.studio/answers/otoy-studio-vs-runway).
- **Lots of Kling:** Kling's own plans go down to $0.71 per 100 credits at the top tier, and new versions like Kling 4.0 land there first. See [OTOY Studio vs Kling AI](https://otoy.studio/answers/otoy-studio-vs-kling-ai).
- **Adobe pipelines:** Firefly hands off to Premiere and After Effects and offers Runway's models inside Adobe. See [Adobe Firefly alternatives](https://otoy.studio/answers/adobe-firefly-alternatives).
- **Fast social content:** Higgsfield. See [OTOY Studio vs Higgsfield](https://otoy.studio/answers/otoy-studio-vs-higgsfield).
- **Open models, no per-run cost:** ComfyUI on your own GPU, or see [ComfyUI in the browser](https://otoy.studio/answers/comfyui-in-the-browser).

## What you give up by leaving Runway

- **Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0.** Outside Runway they are only on partner platforms such as Adobe Firefly.
- **ProRes, HDR and image sequences,** which Runway offers on the Max plan.
- **Editor plugins** for Premiere, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

Many teams keep a small Runway plan for Aleph edits and do the rest of the pipeline in a second tool.
